Molteni Vernici is the protagonist of "AN ARTISTIC PERFORMANCE WITH A HIGH SOCIAL IMPACT WITH A LOW ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT.
PERFORMANCE DIRECTOR: CITY OF ART - PISTOLETTO FOUNDATION, CASTLE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT OF RIVOLI MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART".

A performance, a flashmob, an urban action, which places rejection at the center of a question: can art activate consciences and push them to important and gradual changes? Projections indicate that plastic production will double by 2025 and triple by 2050, while the presence of plastic waste in our seas is expected to quadruple by that date. It is therefore necessary to intervene and act, involving organizations, institutes and artists, connecting local realities on a fundamental issue such as the protection of the environment, biodiversity and the seas.

Change the perspective to give new life. With this idea, the Third Paradise in the Lagoon of Venice was born in December 2021, a laboratory/project with the aim of raising awareness and increasing awareness on the issue of waste that invades our seas and with explicit reference to the idea that a social transformation responsible and sustainable is achievable.

Engine of the project the Third Paradise by Michelangelo Pistoletto, a symbol graphically represented by a continuous line that intersects twice and that adds a central circle to the sign of infinity, proposed for a harmonious and balanced future, where nature and artifice walk together, where to the hope that technological innovation offers us, we combine the actions, practices, that we can carry out in our everyday life.

AN ARTISTIC PERFORMANCE WITH A HIGH SOCIAL IMPACT WITH A LOW ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

The performance on 7th September will be the creation of the symbol of the Third Paradise on the Blue Moon beach, around the ANTIMATTER Stone work by Sebastiano Pelli.

The latter, made of recycled metal and the size of an irregular cube of about 2 meters per side, will contain the non-recyclable plastic collected in the previous days on the beaches of the Lido and which will be thrown inside by the participants before being sealed at the end of the performance.

ANTIMATTER Stone is a sculpture with a great social impact: waste material, recovered sheet metal, which incorporates plastic waste. Matter that turns into antimatter, a "stone" that contains waste, that meets it, collides with it and annihilates it, producing energy. Energy for a new world: participatory, responsible, sustainable. ANTIMATTER Stone was created with the contribution of Paci Paolo Siderurgica, Stame, Tesserini and Molteni Vernici.

The direction of the performance Il Terzo Paradiso at the Venice Film Festival is entrusted to Cittadellarte - Fondazione Pistoletto and the Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art Education Department.

The performance Il Terzo Paradiso at the Venice Film Festival is dedicated to Maurizio Silvi, a recently deceased make-up artist, representing all the professionals who, with their work, allow the creation of that magic we call CINEMA. For the realization of the performance we thank the Venice Biennale, the Lido Pellestrina Municipality, Venice Beaches and the organization of the Blue Moon.
